THE HOME GUIDE SYSTEM - HOW IT WORKS

Checklist How It WorksWe will demonstrate how smoothly the Home Guide works by using an example from the interior portion of the inspection. As you can see in the image to the right, the inspector has checked the material type regarding the walls and ceiling of the home.  This part of the inspection form is designed to identify materials and techniques used.

Checklist GlossaryAll of the items checked in Figure 1 above can now be cross referenced and defined by the Glossary (see the image to the left).

As you can see by the example in the image to the right, the inspector has discovered a problem area associated with the walls and ceiling.  The inspector has checked items #803 and #804 under the visible conditions area in the report.

After checking the area where a problem is discovered, it is then identified specifically in the Minor/Major section located on the immediate right of the visible checklist (see the image to the left).

With relative ease, the inspector has now identified in detail the issue and its location.  He has also made a recommendation to the client to upgrade or repair the problem.  This is done simply by checking one of the icons to the right of the written description.  A key is supplied on each form which defines the meaning of those icons.

Visbisle ConditionsNow that the information is clear to the client, you can then direct them to the cross reference section for for a very complete and comprehensive explanation.

Now the client will turn a few pages and track down items #803 and #804, where they can read the facts and suggestions about the discovered issues.  See the image to the right for the definitions of the specific issues.

This is the final step in giving your clients a clear and professional evaluation of the property.  Direct them to the Glossary for detailed information.  This is easy to do throughout the report.
