40 HOUR PRE-LICENSURE DISTANCE LEARNING

The following program has been approved for 40 hours of pre-licensure education in the State of Florida for home inspectors. By completing this distance learning program, students will be able to work at their own pace and be ready to attend the fast track 60 hour classroom program.

This also reduces the expense of travel and accommodation for students wanting to change careers and makes it easier for all to participate and learn at the same pace.

By completing all modules before the classroom program, you will have a much better understanding of the training given, the numerous props and equipment used, whether it is a reverse valve, cut open HVAC compressor, electrical testing board or cut open water heater and the liability and report writing techniques.

All students will be required to read the Home Guide inspection reporting and training manual system for induction training which provides a complete outline of the home inspection requirements in the state of Florida as outlined below.

Home Inspection Practice and Review
Module 3: Home Inspection Practice and Review
Students will be required to complete an inspection report in its simplest form, a carbonized handwritten form, which is provided with the program, to help with the learning objectives of the entire training module.

This inspection report will provide a baseline of the learning experiences from the distance learning to the pre-licensure classroom training. This inspection report must be submitted as part of the student’s entry requirements to the pre-licensure classroom training.
Inspection Depot Illustrations
Module 4: Inspection Depot Illustrations
Students will be provided with the Inspection Depot graphical home inspection guide, which has over 2,200 illustrations developed for the inspection industry. This has many how to inspect graphics, as well as technical graphics to help you with the learning objectives.
Module 5: Final Online Entry Examination
On completion of both the Home Guide reporting manual and the Burgess Professional Home Inspection Results’ requirements, students will be required to take a 100 question, multiple-choice examination.
